Dhoom 3 will feature Aamir Khan playing a negative character while Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will reprise their roles. Katrina Kaif will star opposite Aamir Khan. Dhoom 3 will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.
Filming was expected to start from January 2012, with Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra facing the camera first, but due to the release of lead actor Aamir’s film Talaash, it has been pushed back to March.
Reportedly,the producer of the film, Aditya Chopra wanted to make the film in 3d format, feeling that the success of Haunted 3D showed that Indian audiences have opened up to 3D cinema viewing . But actor Aamir Khan is not convinced as he thinks ‘making a 3D film needs more expertise’. Some sources still maintain that the film will release in 3D.
It was announced that the composer of Dhoom and Dhoom 2, Pritam, will return once again to compose the music of the third installment.
